Swarm, the high-born storage project in the Ethereum ecology, failed to witness price soar after on-lining yet surprised the crowd with its slow progress, opaque economic model and unreasonable mining settings. A swarm of market confidence was gone, indeed.

Swarm market fanaticism from initial high to today’s low perfectly interpreted the madness and irrationality of the cryptocurrency market. The Swarm fall also highlights the “sense of distance” between the Swarm project and the community of miners.

Wherever there is a problem, there is a way out. SANA (Storage area network at anywhere), an upgraded project forked upon Swarm, is established by a group of Github geeks. As a point-to-point storage area node network in essence, SANA provides decentralized storage and communication services for the blockchain applications and services. It revolutionizes the technological, economic and community issues of Swarm, and truly fulfills the mission of free right empowerment through data storage.

SANA aims to solve the opacity, poor security, high cost and discrete economic system of information in the current Swarm, promoting a highly scalable decentralized Internet infrastructure layer, and provides a completely independent and open decentralized infrastructure services for data assets.

SANA’s vision is to expand blockchain through point-to-point storage and communication by decentralized cloud computing and deployment of operative environment for computer systems and applications.

SANA is a fork project based on the Swarm network in the market niche of privacy and confidentiality. Integration of data storage and privacy computing of SANA ensures the efficient use of distributed data as well as data privacy, which is seen as a great improvement of Swarm network and greatly revives the demand of Swarm network.

SANA network uses TEE as the core technology of privacy encryption for safe data storage and attack-resistance from software and hardware for node holders by effectively-sliced distributed hardware-based privacy contents. The hardware and software integration framework of TEE + blockchain can be more practically deployed compared with other cryptography schemes such as zero knowledge proof. Thanks to verification links embedded into TEE for task execution, which needs no on-chain resource occupation, SANA user experience is maximized in the case of meeting the most basic market needs.

SANA network issued $SANA, an ERC20 token based on the ETH-xDAI network as the governance token to stimulate transaction on the network and realize the function of recovery, redistribution and destruction of transaction fees. In terms of economic model, it can completely release the idle space of mining machines in the current market; It provides a more stable and guaranteed choice for miners, and even realizes mining of multi-projects, thereby making the entire network more powerful and more economical.

SANA adopts a two-layer mining structure to effectively incentivize node holders and trusted miners. Node miners will receive private computing rewards when they provide stable online nodes and effective CPU computing capabilities. When data storage, data reading and other supply and demand functions are generated, miners will receive supply and demand rewards.

Unlike most Swarm tokens used for sales, more than 70% of the $SANA tokens will be produced through mining. The project is more willing to fill the entire network with incentives on a fair basis. It will also adjust the pledged tokens for mining based on the cores, making full use of governance tokens and reduce production by innovative use of wavebands.

Finally, we would like to thank Swarm for its outstanding contributions to the blockchain industry. SANA is a new network forked from the Swarm open source. It has all the features and functions of the Swarm network. SANA and Swarm have the same vision and are committed to building a decentralized storage and communication system which can be used in the digital era. During the actual application of Swarm, we found that there were irreconcilable contradictions in some characteristics which can be realized for the aim of lower transaction costs, more suitable economic models for nodes, and safer storage method by establishing something new.
